Since this is my very first post i need the topic to be very close to my heart.What can be better than blogging about witnessing my favourite band live from the front row?Yes.it has been just two days since Karnivool blew minds at nicco park,Kolkata on eleventh january.A perfect start to a new year.Those who have not heard of Karnivool (you have been missing out on paradise all this while!) start right away with 'new day' from their second studio album,SOUND AWAKE.This song is my personal favourite.

Karnivool is a progressive metal band hailing from Perth,Australia.They have been active since 1997 and currently consist of the genius named Ian Kenny on vocals(BTW he gave me an autograph which i will preserve till i die and take it with me to my grave),Andrew Goddard and Mark Hosking on guitar,Jon Stockman on bass,and Steve Judd on drums.

First EP: KARNIVOL (1999)

Second EP: PERSONA (march 2001) {DO CHECK OUT FEATHERWEIGHT.YOU WILL KNOW WHY}

First studio album: THEMATA (2004-07)

Second studio album: SOUND AWAKE (2008-10)

Third studio album: ASYMMETRY (2011-present)

They had played in india before but unfortunately i had not come across them then.In 2013 a music obsessed talented friend of mine introduced me to them and i had fallen in love with them ever since.When i heard they were returning to perform in india i went online and bought the tickets the very moment they went on sale.On 11th january the crowd at nicco park went berserk chanting the band's name as they took the stage opening with 'simple boy'.Other tracks they played included 'we are','roquefort','themata','all i know' and so on.By the time they finished with 'new day',the crowd was hypnotized and emotional.this has been been the most magical experience in my life till now.I can never thank this band enough.those of you reading this,make sure you catch them live when they are here again.AND START LISTENING TO THEM ALREADY :D

Hello people Last weekend was pretty eventful. Martin Garrix went live in Hyderabad,Mumbai,Bangalore and Kolkata as part of his India Tour,and I,being a resident of Kolkata, was not going to miss this chance, LIKE COME ONN. In today's post I will give an overview of what went down in Kolkata on the 13th of this November. So,every great show needs a venue,and this time( like last time/ / Afrojack) it was Aquatica ,prepped up nicely for the much anticipated night and the massive crowd. .Before Garrix took over, Justin Mylo and Lost Frequencies got the crowd warming up to their respective sets. What's the scene,people? Twenty One Pilots is! Yes,they are all set to release their new album,Blurryface, on May 19th this year, and have already dropped two tracks from it: Fairly local ( click here  ) and Tear in my heart ( click here  ) .Of the two,i liked Fairly local more and have destroyed the replay sign below the video ,but both are totally worth a watch. So,i dedicate my new post to list one of the best songs put out by them till date,but before that,it will only be fair if i get you to know a little about them. Twenty One Pilots are a musical duo from Columbus,Ohio,formed in 2009.Members: Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun.Their first two albums(self titled and Vessel) were self-released before they were signed by Fueled With Ramen.Their melodies are unique and distinguished,taking inspiration from poetry and rap elements.
