Image
Hey,readers. It's probably been a long time since I last blogged, but to be absolutely honest,I had pretty much no original ideas hitting me (and I'm not a fan of blogging half-heartedly or uninspired). While listening to some old favourites last night ,it struck me that I don't listen to Bullet For My Valentine or System Of A Down as much as I used to in my early teens.I used to be so obsessed.SO obsessed.Okay,I'll stop. So,I figured this could be the topic for my new post. What's up with my old faves now?Let's find out. Linkin Park: It's only fair I start with Chester and Co. because they are probably the first band I worshipped like a mad person. When I say I miss the 2000's , I mean I miss the music scene that was there then. There was specially a boom in the Nu Metal genre brought into the limelight by them and other bands like Korn .MTV showcased good music.Real music, unlike extra commercial pop stars with limited talent today(I'm

What's the scene, people? Twenty One Pilots is! Yes,they are all set to release their new album,Blurryface, on May 19th this year, and have already dropped two tracks from it: Fairly local ( click here  ) and Tear in my heart ( click here  ) .Of the two,i liked Fairly local more and have destroyed the replay sign below the video ,but both are totally worth a watch. So,i dedicate my new post to list one of the best songs put out by them till date, but before that,it will only be fair if i get you to know a little about them. Twenty One Pilots are a musical duo from Columbus,Ohio, formed in 2009.Members: Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun.Their first two albums(self titled and Vessel) were self-released before they were signed by Fueled With Ramen.Their melodies are unique and distinguished, taking inspiration from poetry and rap elements. SIDE PROJECTS

Hey!i am back after a gap with my new post which is about side projects of some awesome bands (as clear as the post's title).Do tune in to them and give yourselves a nice time. BIRDS OF TOKYO I am guessing you have checked out karnivool already after my first blog and have fallen in love with them.Well, guess what? You get to witness more Kennymagic via Ian's side project,Birds Of Tokyo!Their music is mainly experimental/alternative rock. The memebers are basically a combination of KARNIVOOL and another Perth based act,TRAGIC DELICATE.Formed in 2004,they have released two EPs and four albums, namely,DAY ONE(2006-07),UNIVERSES(2008-09),BIRDS OF TOKYO(2010-11), and MARCH FIRES (2012-present). Listen to: wayside, lanterns, broken bones, wild eyed boy, wild at heart. A PERFECT CIRCLE This is a side project of TOOL frontman, Maynard James Keenan(or MJK) formed in 1999. It is basically a rock supergroup, where the members are already succesful artists. They have put forward five

PROGRESSIVE BIGGIES

Hi,i am back with a new post, this time about some progressive metal bands(my faves) you should totally check out.The thing about progressive music is:it grows on you with time.At first it seems strange to most people(applicable to my first time as well) but when you play it on repeat and listen carefully you just get pulled into it little by little.Their lyrics have a lot of depth and realism. It is advised to listen to this kind of music when you are alone and in a quiet surrounding. This way you can understand better.  Listed below are some of these bands (in no such order): 1.)TOOL You can call them pioneers of this genre.Headed by THE Maynard James Keenan on vocals, this 90's band from LA is best described by the word 'unstoppable'.They have a lot of people bitching about them and people complaining about censoring their work but it is amazing how they are never off track because of all the drama. They might come up with one album in a few years but that one album is e

KARNIVOOL Since this is my very first post i need the topic to be very close to my heart. What can be better than blogging about witnessing my favourite band live from the front row?Yes.it has been just two days since Karnivool blew minds at nicco park,Kolkata on eleventh january.A perfect start to a new year. Those who have not heard of Karnivool (you have been missing out on paradise all this while!) start right away with 'new day' from their second studio album,SOUND AWAKE.This song is my personal favourite. Karnivool is a progressive metal band hailing from Perth,Australia. They have been active since 1997 and currently consist of the genius named Ian Kenny on vocals(BTW he gave me an autograph which i will preserve till i die and take it with me to my grave),Andrew Goddard and Mark Hosking on guitar,Jon Stockman on bass, and Steve Judd on drums. First EP: KARNIVOL (1999) Second EP: PERSONA (march 2001) {DO CHECK OUT FEAT
